Let me start out by saying it's awesome that there's a new Stagecast forum, and that I wish it all the luck in the world. I'm from the days of old, if you will. The older forum that sort of fizzled out a while ago. There were only a few of us, new members trickled out faster than they trickled in, and eventually we all just got too old and busy. Having said that, I probably won't be using Stagecast as much as I'd like to anymore. I'm at university, with a full-time job, while hunting for a job I'd actually like, plus a lot of chores... There's no time anymore. But I have a fairly huge collection of things I've made from back then (most of them incomplete) and It'd be an honor to pass them along. This first one is Oofoe 3. Oofoe was sort of my mascot. It's a side-scrolling platformer with a large selection of moves. The game is more or less done, I just felt it needed more variety of enemies, maybe some bosses, maybe some hidden things, and probably some sort of ending. The level select screen is kind of confusing, too. I know I have the two completed entries in the series (Oofoe Cyclone and Oofoe Hurricane) so when I find them I'll post them. dl.dropbox.com/u/17855358/Oofoe%203%20demo.sim

There was one before this? I hope I can bring it back to life! As for the game, I'm really impressed! When I saw "Platformer", I was wondering how good it would be, but it turned out to control really smoothly (for Stagecast, anyway. Smooth animations like that are one of Stagecast's few downfalls...)! I also saw that you have a pretty large amount of levels. I got stuck somewhere on world 1-3 (there was a stage with spider webs that I could break and some sort of black-grey thing. When I spun into it, I died and wasn't sure how to get past it). The gameplay is really great. I'll probably be playing this one more so I can get a better look at it. And welcome to the community!! ^_^

Hi Tedster! Not sure if you remember me, but I was one of the newest members of the older forum, and one of the only to stick around through the end of ZendURL.
I was recently messing around with the Stagecast source and it made me feel nostalgic, so after some googling I ended up here.
Buster, have you thought about emailing Stagecast about this forum? Back in the day they were usually willing to link to fan sites, and it would be pretty cool if we could get some sort of a community going again.

They mentioned this place in their latest E-Mail newsletter. That's where most of the current members heard about this place, I think. I'm not sure if it's listed on their actual website, though. I'll have to check it out! I was about to say, "Why doesn't anyone use the Introductions forum?", but then I checked and realized I hadn't made one yet. Time for an update! x,D Anyway, welcome to the community! Could I ask you how long it took for you to find us on Google? Since we're still pretty new and small, chances are we weren't a first-page result, right? It would be useful to know in case I need to change some tags around the site.

I actually found the spam-filled, abandoned official forum first and saw a link to this one there.

Ah~. So my links did some good after all, I see. Poor Stagecast Support forum. It wasn't so full of spam last time I was there. :< I guess I'd better E-Mail them about that... EDIT: I'm kind of wondering, when you said you were messing with the Stagecast source, did you mean the actual source code for the program? I'm hopefully taking a college class to learn Java in the Fall, and if I had the source code, I might be able to add some new features and/or develop some new apps for it... Sorry if I misunderstood, though. Stagecast recently E-Mailed me saying that they weren't currently planning any new versions of the program, so...
