Hi all - I've just completed a sim which is not really a game. It allows you to experiment with the calculator text functions. Words, lists and characters. You can use them to write some powerful rules. The sim is now on-line. You can go to it directly here: www.cr31.co.uk/stagecast/sims/tfc.htmlClick the 'back' button or use the 'info' link within the sim for more information and on-line guide. If you have a look round the rest of the site you'll find more sims I've written. Mostly fun logic things than full games. Sims are regularly updated as I improve them and add more features. I've no forum though, so will be posting all comments here...

Welcome to the forum! I'm the administrator around here. This is pretty cool! I use the calculator for all kinds of things in my own games. I wouldn't have half of the awesome stuff I have now without it. It's invaluable, isn't it? Haha! I'm interested in how you made the text able to reverse itself. I've had some ideas involving editing text in real-time somewhat like what you've got going here, but I have no idea how to accomplish it stably so far. No worries about it not being a game; I should probably update the forum to read "Games and Sims" in places that just say games right now... Feel free to post links to your other stuff here, too! We're always glad to see new stuff. We encourage users to share their games however they can. P.S.: You might want to add the name of the sim to your topic's title. The best way to do it would be something like, "[App] Text Functions Calculator". The "[App]" at the front tells what genre the sim is (In this case, it's an application). It's not required at all, but it helps users find sims of certain types when using the search function of the forum. Just a thought.

OK good idea I've added app and title to the topic Games and Sims is a better forum title too!
I didn't do anything clever with the button colors. The text color and button color are both changed when the button is clicked. The 'delay' timer counts down and when it reaches zero, the colors are changed back again. Maybe it seems to work better because you can set the delay time to give the right 'feel' to the button.
